　　AspecialplaceinthedevelopmentoffeaturefilmsisreservedforEduardGrecner,thecreatorofjustonegoodfilm,DragonReturns(Draksavracia,1967),titledafterthenicknameoftheleadcharacter.AfterhisinitialworkwithUher,Grecnermadehismarkasaproponentoftheso-called"intellectual"film,theantithesisofthesociologically,orrather,sociallycriticalfilm.Grecner'sgreatrolemodelwasAlanResnais,ayoungFrenchfilmmakerwhosoughttointroduceSlovakiatotheideaoffilmasalabyrinthinwhichmeaningsarecreatednotbystories,butbycomplexconfigurationsofdialogue,shots,andvariouslayersoftime,thusdifferentiatingfilmfrombothliteratureandtheater.InDragonReturns―thestoryofasolitaryherowhoisneededbyvillagerslivingfarinthemountains,butwhoisrejectedbythematthesametimebecauseofhisdetachment―Grecnerbroughtthetraditionoflyricizedprosetolifethroughawholeseriesofformalaesthetictechniques.AlainRobbe-GrilletimmediatelydevelopedthisideainthefilmshotinBratislavaTheManWhoLies(Slovak:Muz,ktoryluze;Frenchtitle:L'hommequiment;1968),andperfecteditinEdenandAfter(Edenapotom,1970).
